13th Edition of YLES Registration and Payment Instructions

Registrations is a dual stage process. The first stage comprises of online registration. Shortlisted delegations will be required to submit the required documents and payments in the second stage. Detailed instructions for both stages are provided below.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Each delegate must at least be in O-level/Matric 1styear or beyond (A-level/University) to apply.
  • Each team must consist of 4-5 members.
  • Each team must compete in all 5 Business Events.

 Disclaimer

  • The Registrations Department reserves the right to add to or amend the rules of registrations at any point in time. However, any amendments will be made public before they are exercised and delegates will be given due notice.
  • The short-listed teams are chosen at the discretion of the LUMS Entrepreneurial Society (LES) and are not open to discussion.
  • All payments made to LUMS Entrepreneurial Society (LES) are non-refundable.

Registration Instructions

  PHASE 1 (1)   First, teams must fill in the online registration form. All fields must be filled in accurately. Even for private teams, the institution name of each delegate needs to be mentioned. Delegates’ pictures must be renamed to the names of the respective delegates. No Facebook, Instagram or other social media pictures as well as selfies will be accepted. Pictures should ideally be passport size with the face identifiable and front facing. Any inappropriate pictures shall not be accepted. All pictures must be in jpeg. or png. format.   PHASE two (1)  

Payment details

Teams will be obligated to make all payments within the defined deadlines to compete in the summit: The fee structure for the 13th Edition of YLES is as follows:
  • Team Registration Fee: Rs. 4,000/ per delegation
  • Event Fee: Rs. 5,500/- per delegate
  • On-Campus (LUMS) Accomodation Fee: Rs. 3,000/- per delegate for 4 nights
Note: The Event Fee covers both Business Events and Social Events. Accommodation will only be provided to delegates who do not have residence in Lahore. Early Bird Discount Anybody who registers before the 20th of October is entitled to a waiver of Rs 1000 from the Team Registration Fee and a further Rs 1000 from the Event Fee. Hence, the new charges will be (for those qualifying for the Early Bird Discount):
  • Team Registration Fee: Rs. 3,000/
  • Event Fee: Rs. 5,000/- per delegate
  • On-Campus (LUMS) Accomodation Fee: Rs. 3,000/- per delegate for 4 nights
Faculty Advisors will be housed at the Rausing Executive Development Center at LUMS in individual rooms at Rs.7600/night. Rooms have a single double bed, so if 2 faculty advisors are visiting from the same school they can share a room. The total charges for 4 nights will be Rs.30,400 (for the 23rd, 24th, 25th and the 26th of December 2018). Faculty Advisors’ Accommodation Fee: Faculty Advisors will be housed at the Rausing Executive Development Center at LUMS in individual rooms at Rs.7600/night. Rooms have a single double bed, so if 2 faculty advisors are visiting from the same school they can share a room. The total charges for 5 nights will be Rs.30,400 (for the 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th and the 27th of December 2018). After receiving the registration confirmation email, each team is required to submit the following:
  • Photocopy of paid fee voucher (voucher will be emailed to you after registration)
  • Waiver of Liability for each delegate;
  • Accommodation Waiver of Liability for each delegate (if applicable);
  • Institution Consent Letter (not required for private teams);
  • Photocopies of student ID cards/NIC and bonafide letter.
Note: Please submit ALL of the aforementioned documents in a single envelope (multiple teams from the same institute can send these documents together but they should be labeled accordingly).   The mailing envelope MUST have the respective Team ID(s) written clearly on the back of the envelope and have the following mailing label attached:

The payments can be made through a Pay Order OR Bank Draft (online payment will be accepted for International Teams). The payments can be made as a cumulative sum on a single Pay Order OR Bank Draft made in favor of: ‘Lahore University of Management Sciences’. Please note that the name of the institution and the Team ID(s) MUST be mentioned at the back of the Pay Order or Bank Draft.     RH2H
