19th Edition of YLES Registration & Payment Instructions

Registrations is a dual stage process. The first stage comprises of online registration. Shortlisted delegations will then be required to make payments and submit the required documents in the second stage. Detailed instructions for both stages are provided below.

YLES offers two types of Registrations this edition:

Early Bird Registration (PHASE I): The delegates who register in the “early bird” phase i.e. 14th October till 30th October. These delegates will be entitled to an early bird discount. No other discounts can be availed during this period

Registrations PHASE II: Regular Registrations phase starts on 4th November and ends in December. Delegates can avail the Brand Ambassador discount or loyalty discount/newcomers discount or Women in Leadership discount (for local registrations only) during this phase.

Eligibility Criteria

Students from 14 years old enrolled in any institution up to first year, and under 20 years of age, in any University.

Each team is only applicable for a single type of discount, so if your institute is eligible for a Loyalty Discount or a Newcomer’s discount and is also applying through the Brand Ambassador or Early Bird scheme, only the scheme with the highest discount will be applicable.

REGISTRATION PROCESS

STEP 1

1. Delegates can access the registration form for YLES here and on all our social media pages.

2. To sign up for the event, the head delegate of a team will fill out one form on behalf of all their team members, specify the institution being represented, and provide answers to all other additional questions on the form.

3. Teams that are not representing any school must register themselves as ‘Private’. Members of ‘Private’ teams can belong to different institutes.

First, teams must fill in the online registration form. All fields must be filled in accurately. Even for private teams, the institution name of each delegate needs to be mentioned. Delegates’ pictures must be renamed to the names of the respective delegates. No Facebook, Instagram, or other social media pictures or selfies will be accepted. Pictures should ideally be passport size with the face identifiable and front-facing. Any inappropriate pictures shall not be accepted. All pictures must be in jpeg. or png. format.

STEP 2

Once teams are registered for the event, they will be contacted via email, confirming that they have signed up. Their event fee voucher, along with a copy of a Waiver of Liability will also be sent to them via email.

After this, they must complete 2 steps:

  • Pay the fee through bank transfer or online payment on the details provided in the voucher.
  • Submit a signed Waiver of Liability for each participant.

(A copy of the proof of payment, as well as the signed waviers of liability must be emailed to register.les@gmail.com in the same thread as their confirmation email.)

FEE STRUCTURE

Each team must comprise of a minimum of 3 members and a maximum of 5 members. Teams may register privately as delegations for the event, or through their respective institutions. The fee structure for the 19th Edition of YLES is as follows:

BRAND AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

The Brand Ambassador Program is a unique opportunity for interested students to act as a bridge between The Young Leaders and Entrepreneurs Summit team and their relevant institutions by becoming ambassadors for the event and playing a key role in bringing in delegations from their schools and colleges to sign up for the event.

The Brand Ambassadors will act as the point of contact between all teams joining the event through their reference. The Brand Ambassador Discount will apply to all those teams who register through a Brand Ambassador from their school who will be selected via the Brand Ambassador Program.

As a Brand Ambassador, you’ll be expected to:

1.Promote YLES 19th: Drive maximum registrations through your influence and referrals.

2.Be the Point of Contact: Facilitate communication between the YLES team and teams joining through your reference.

3.Handle Queries and Registrations: Assist with queries and guide teams through the registration process.

In return, Brand Ambassadors enjoy a range of benefits:

  • Discounts: Earn discounts for teams registering through your referral code.
  • Special Discount for Your Team: Avail a major discount for your own team’s registration.
  • Letter of Experience and Recognition: Receive a letter of experience and recognition from the LUMS Entrepreneurial Society.

Brand Ambassador Eligibility Criteria

Please note that in order to be eligible to avail the complete perks of the Brand Ambassador Program, the selected Brand Ambassador will have to meet the full criteria of bringing the required number of teams. Failure to do so will automatically disqualify them as a Brand Ambassador and all affiliated benefits.

If the selected brand ambassadors meet the eligibility criteria they will be entitled to the following benefits:

1) Waived Participant fee for the brand ambassador only.                                                           

2) Ambassadors who bring most teams to YLES will be recognized with a certificate and given gift vouchers.

3) All ambassadors will get an experience letter from LUMS Entrepreneurial Society.                                                

Other Discounts Offered

Loyalty Discount

The YLES Loyalty Discount is applicable on schools who have consistently been participants at YLES. It is our way of showing our appreciation to the dedication and loyalty these institutions have shown to the Young Leaders and Entrepreneurs Summit.                                                                                                 

The YLES Loyalty Discount is applicable on schools who have participated in YLES in the last 2 years and are sending at least 10 teams this year. Under this discount scheme, the delegation fee of all teams signing up from institutes that are applicable to the Loyalty Discount, will have their entire  delegation fee of Rs.4,000 waived off. Hence, participants will only have to pay their respective delegate fees.                                                                        

Early Bird Discount

Early Bird Registrations open on 14th October 2024. Teams applying during this registration phase will be able to avail a discount on both their delegation fee, as well as their per delegate fee. We encourage teams to apply as early on as possible to avail this opportunity.

Fee Charges (for local teams)

  • Delegate fee: PKR 6,500
  • Team registration fee: PKR 3,500

Fee Charges (for international teams)

  • Delegate fee: $25
  • Team registration fee: $15

New Comers Discount

The New Comers Discount is a discount scheme applicable on schools who have not previously participated in YLES.

This discount would be applicable during the regular registration phase.

Under this discount scheme, the delegation fee of all teams signing up from institutes that have not sent any teams previously will have their entire delegation fee of Rs.4,000 waived off. Hence, participants will only have to pay their respective delegate fees.

Women in Leadership Discount

The Women in Leadership Discount is applicable to teams that consist entirely of female members or have at least three female members, with the Head Delegate also being a female. This discount will be available during the regular registration phase. Eligible teams will have half of their delegation fees (PKR 2000) waived, while they will still be required to pay the remaining half of the delegation fee and the delegate fee.

Rules & Regulations

All delegates must follow the guidelines strictly to avoid any unfortunate consequences. Any violation of the rules may lead to heavy fines and strict actions at the discretion of LUMS Security Team & YLES Host Team.

Registration Policies

  • Each team (except private teams) must provide a bonafide letter of consent from their respective institution. The letter must be on the institution’s official letterhead along with its stamp and the signature of the Faculty Advisor/Principal.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Each delegate must be at least 14 years old and under 20 years old and enrolled in any institution upto 1st year of any university.
  • Each team must consist of 3-5 delegates and must participate in all 5 Business Events. There will be no elimination in any event and it is mandatory to attend each round of all the events to be eligible for the delegate trophy.
  • The bonafide letter and all other relevant documents along with the registration fee must be submitted within the stipulated time period. Failure to adhere to the deadlines will result in immediate disqualification of the team.
  • No registrations will be entertained after the deadline, under any circumstances.
  • All payments made to the LUMS Entrepreneurial Society (LES) are non-refundable.
  • All delegations must be finalized by 1st December 2024. No request for any changes to the team will be entertained after this date.
  • The Registrations Department reserves the right to reject any team or individual at any stage of the registration process.
  • The Registration Department reserves the right to add to or amend the rules of registrations at any point in time. However, any amendments will be made public before they are exercised and delegates will be given due notice.

Delegate Code of Conduct

  • All delegates must respect the LUMS Community, YLES Host Team, and fellow delegates attending the event.
  • Any unethical behavior or criminal activity shall not be tolerated by the YLES Host Team and will be reported to relevant authorities immediately.
  • All delegates are responsible for their own actions and behavior and YLES Host Team does not take responsibility for any misconduct on the participant’s part.
  • The LUMS Entrepreneurial Society has a strict zero-tolerance policy for harassment, bullying, or misconduct of any kind. Any delegates found involved in any such activity will be immediately removed from the LUMS premises and separated from the event, and their team will be automatically disqualified from proceeding further in the event.
