17th Edition of YLES Registration & Payment Instructions

Registrations is a dual stage process. The first stage comprises of online registration. Shortlisted delegations will then be required to make payments and submit the required documents in the second stage. Detailed instructions for both stages are provided below.

YLES will be conducting 2 registration phases this year:

Early Bird Registrations: The delegates who register in the “early bird” phase i.e. 17th October till 6th November. These delegates will be entitled to an early bird discount. No other discounts can be availed during this period

Regular Registrations: Regular Registrations phase starts on 7th November and ends on 1st December. Delegates can avail the Brand Ambassador discount or loyalty discount (for local registrations only) during this phase.

Disclaimer

• The registrations department reserves the right to add or amend the rules and regulations at any point in time. However, any amendments will be made public before they are exercised and delegates will be given due notice.

• All payments made to LUMS Entrepreneurial Society are non-refundable.

• Teams must participate in all rounds to be eligible for the Delegate Trophy.

•Each team is only applicable for a single type of discount, so if your institute is eligible for a Loyalty Discount and is also applying through the Brand Ambassador or Early Bird scheme, only the Brand Ambassador discount scheme will be applied to your fee vouchers.


Attendance for ALL rounds of YLES that any particular team qualifies for is compulsory, and not attending any of the rounds may make the said team ineligible for any YLES trophy. The YLES Host Team holds the right to disqualify teams on the basis of any breach of the code of conduct, as stated in the Rules and Regulations guidelines.

Registration Process

Step 1

1. Delegates can access the registration form for YLES below and on all our social media pages.

2. To sign up for the event, the head delegate of a team will fill out one form on behalf of all their team members, specify the institution being represented, and provide answers to all other additional questions on the form.

3. Teams that are not representing any school must register themselves as ‘Private’. Members of ‘Private’ teams can belong to different institutes.

First, teams must fill in the online registration form. All fields must be filled in accurately. Even for private teams, the institution name of each delegate needs to be mentioned. Delegates’ pictures must be renamed to the names of the respective delegates. No Facebook, Instagram, or other social media pictures or selfies will be accepted. Pictures should ideally be passport size with the face identifiable and front-facing. Any inappropriate pictures shall not be accepted. All pictures must be in jpeg. or png. format.

Step 2

Once teams are registered for the event, they will be contacted via email, confirming that they have signed up. Their event fee voucher, along with a copy of a Waiver of Liability will also be sent to them via email.

After this, they must complete 2 steps:

  • Pay the fee through bank transfer or online payment on the details provided in the voucher.
  • Submit a signed Waiver of Liability for each participant.
(A copy of the proof of payment, as well as the signed waviers of liability must be emailed to register.les@gmail.com in the same thread as their confirmation email.)

FEE STRUCTURE

Each team must comprise of a minimum of 3 members and a maximum of 5 members. Teams may register privately as delegations for the event, or through their respective institutions. The fee structure for the 17th  Edition of YLES is as follows:

Brand Ambassador Program

The Brand Ambassador Program is a unique opportunity for interested students to act as a bridge between The Young Leaders and Entrepreneurs Summit team and their relevant institutions, by becoming ambassadors for the event, and playing a key role in bringing in delegations from their schools and colleges to sign up for the event.

 

The Brand Ambassadors will act as the point of contact between all teams joining the event through their reference, and will be receiving multiple benefits in return, including not only major discounts on their registration fees, but also a letter of recognition from the LUMS Entrepreneurial Society, and access to a large community of both local and international ambassadors.

The Brand Ambassador Discount will apply to all those teams who register through a Brand Ambassador from their school who will be selected via the Brand Ambassador Program. All teams that register using the Brand Ambassador Promo Code will get 10% off on their delegate fee.

 

Apart from this, the team which includes the Brand Ambassador themself will also receive a discount on their delegation fee. If the Brand Ambassador brings 3 teams, their own team will receive a 50% discount on their delegation fee, as well as the regular 10% off their delegate fees. If the Brand Ambassador brings 5 teams, their own team will receive a 100% discount on their delegation fee, as well as the regular 10% off their delegate fees.

 

Additionally, the Brand Ambassador’s own individual delegate fee will be completely waived off as well.

 

The Brand ambassador team along with the teams that register using the Brand Ambassador Promo Code will not be eligible for Early Bird discount, as one team will only be applicable for one type of discount.

Brand Ambassador Eligibility Criteria

Please note that in order to be eligible to avail the complete perks of the Brand Ambassador Program, the selected Brand Ambassador will have to meet the full criteria of bringing the required number of teams. Failure to do so will automatically disqualify them as a Brand Ambassador and all affiliated benefits.

 

If the selected brand ambassadors meet the eligibility criteria they will be entitled to the following benefits:
          1) Waived Participant fee for the brand ambassador only.
         2) Ambassadors who bring most teams to YLES will be recognized with a certificate and given gift vouchers.
         3) All ambassadors will get an experience letter from LUMS Entrepreneurial Society.

Other Discounts Offered

Please note, each team is only applicable for a single type of discount, so if your institute is eligible for a Loyalty Discount and is also applying through the Brand Ambassador or Early Bird scheme, only the Brand Ambassador discount scheme will be applied to your fee vouchers.

Loyalty Discount

The YLES Loyalty Discount is applicable on schools who have consistently been participants at YLES for a consecutive past 5 years. It is our way of showing our appreciation to the dedication and loyalty these institutions have shown to the Young Leaders and Entrepreneurs Summit.

Under this discount scheme, the delegation fee of all teams signing up from institutes that are applicable to the Loyalty Discount, will have their entire delegation fee waived off. Hence, participants will only have to pay their respective delegate fees.

Early Bird Discount

Early Bird Registrations open on 17th October 2022. Teams applying earlier will be able to avail a discount on both their delegation fee, as well as their per delegate fee. We encourage teams to apply as early on as possible to avail this opportunity.


 Rules & Regulations

All delegates must follow the guidelines strictly to avoid any unfortunate consequences. Any violation of the rules may lead to heavy fines and strict actions at the discretion of LUMS Security Team & YLES Host Team.

Registration Policies

  • Each team (except private teams) must provide a bonafide letter of consent from their respective institution. The letter must be on the institution’s official letterhead along with its stamp and the signature of the Faculty Advisor/Principal.
  • All private teams must fall into the age criteria of the following grade levels:
  • Eligibility Criteria: Each delegate must at least be in O-level/Matric/higher secondary/ 1st year or 2nd year of university to be able to apply (14-21 yrs old).
  • Each team must consist of 3-5 delegates and must participate in all 5 Business Events.
  • The bonafide letter and all other relevant documents along with the registration fee must be submitted within the stipulated time period. Failure to adhere to the deadlines will result in immediate disqualification of the team.
  • No registrations will be entertained after the deadline, under any circumstances.
  • All payments made to the LUMS Entrepreneurial Society (LES) are non-refundable.
  • All delegations must be finalized by 1st December 2022. No request for any changes to the team will be entertained after this date.
  • The Registrations Department reserves the right to reject any team or individual at any stage of the registration process.
  • The Registration Department reserves the right to add to or amend the rules of registrations at any point in time. However, any amendments will be made public before they are exercised and delegates will be given due notice.

Delegate Code of Conduct

  • All delegates must respect the LUMS Community, YLES Host Team, and fellow delegates attending the event.
  • Any unethical behavior or criminal activity shall not be tolerated by the YLES Host Team and will be reported to relevant authorities immediately.
  • All delegates are responsible for their own actions and behavior and YLES Host Team does not take responsibility for any misconduct on the participant’s part.
  • The LUMS Entrepreneurial Society has a strict zero-tolerance policy for harassment, bullying, or misconduct of any kind. Any delegates found involved in any such activity will be immediately removed from the LUMS premises and separated from the event, and their team will be automatically disqualified from proceeding further in the event.
