15th Edition of YLES Registration & Payment Instructions 

Registrations is a dual stage process. The first stage comprises of online registration. Shortlisted delegations will then be required to make payments and submit the required documents in the second stage. Detailed instructions for both stages are provided below.

Eligibility Criteria

  • DELEGATES MUST BE CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN EITHER OF THE FOLLOWING:

      1)OLEVEL/MATRIC/ALEVEL/HIGHER SECONDARY
      2)UNDERGRAD (1ST AND 2ND YEAR ONLY)

  • EACH TEAM MUST CONSIST OF 3-5 MEMBERS.EACH TEAM MUST COMPETE IN ALL 6 BUSINESS EVENTS.

  • EACH TEAM MUST COMPETE IN ALL 6 BUSINESS EVENTS.

  • THE REGISTRATIONS DEPARTMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ADD TO OR AMEND THE RULES OF REGISTRATIONS AT ANY POINT IN TIME. HOWEVER, ANY AMENDMENTS WILL BE MADE PUBLIC BEFORE THEY ARE EXERCISED AND DELEGATES WILL BE GIVEN DUE NOTICE.

  • THE SHORT-LISTED TEAMS ARE CHOSEN AT THE DISCRETION OF THE LUMS ENTREPRENEURIAL SOCIETY (LES) AND ARE NOT OPEN TO DISCUSSION.

  • ALL PAYMENTS MADE TO LUMS ENTREPRENEURIAL SOCIETY (LES) ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

Step 1

1. Teams can enlist through the online portal.

2. During this phase, the head delegate will have to enlist the team, specify the institution being represented and provide answers to any additional questions. 

3. Teams that are not representing any school must register themselves as ‘Private’. Members of ‘Private’ teams can belong to different institutes.

First, teams must fill in the online registration form. All fields must be filled in accurately. Even for private teams, the institution name of each delegate needs to be mentioned. Delegates’ pictures must be renamed to the names of the respective delegates. No Facebook, Instagram or other social media pictures as well as selfies will be accepted. Pictures should ideally be passport size with the face identifiable and front facing. Any inappropriate pictures shall not be accepted. All pictures must be in jpeg. or png. format. 

Step 2

Teams selected for Phase 2 will be contacted through email and phone. Each team will be required to send in:

1.    Online payment through the LUMS Portal

2.    Waiver of Liability for each participant 

After payment we would need the following documents: 

1.    Institution Consent Letter (not required for private teams)

2.    Photocopies of student ID cards/NIC

Payment Details

Teams will be obligated to make all payments within the defined deadlines to compete in the summit. The fee structure for the 15th Edition of YLES is as follows:

 

Local Teams:

Team Registration Fee: Rs. 3,000/ per delegation

Event Fee: Rs. 2,500/- per delegate

 

International Teams:

Event Fee: $25 per delegate

Note: The Event Fee covers both Business Events and Social Events.

 

Early Bird Discount

Anybody who registers before the 22nd November 2020 is entitled to a discount. Hence, the new charges will be (for those qualifying for the Early Bird Discount):

 

Local Teams:

Team Registration Fee: Rs. 2,500/

Event Fee: Rs. 2,000/- per delegate

 

International Teams:

 

Event Fee: $20 per delegate

Rules & Regulations

All delegates must follow the guidelines strictly to avoid any unfortunate consequences. Any violation of the rules may lead to heavy fines and strict actions at the discretion of LUMS Security Team & YLES Host Team.

REGISTRATION POLICIES

 

  • Each team (except private teams) must provide a bonafide letter of consent from their respective institution. The letter must be on the institutions’ official letterhead along with its stamp and the signature of the Faculty Advisor/Principal. All private teams must be currently enrolled in a recognized educational institution and must state their school names in the registration form or the team may not qualify for a successful registration.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Each delegate must at least be in o-level/matric/higher secondary/ 1st year or 2nd year of University to apply.
  • Each team should consist of 3-5 delegates and must participate in all 5 Business Events.
  • The bonafide letter and all other relevant documents along with the registration fee must be submitted within the stipulated time period. Failure to adhere to the deadlines will result in immediate disqualification of the team.
  • No registrations will be entertained after the deadline, under any circumstances.
  • All payments made to the LUMS Entrepreneurial Society (LES) are non-refundable.
  • All delegations must be finalized by 18th December 2020. No request of any changes to the team will be entertained after this date.
  • The short-listed teams are chosen at the discretion of the LUMS Entrepreneurial Society (LES) and are not open to discussion.
  • The Registration Department reserves the right to reject any team or individual at any stage of the registration process.
  • The Registration Department reserves the right to add to or amend the rules of registrations at any point in time. However, any amendments will be made public before they are exercised and delegates will be given due notice.

DELEGATE CODE OF CONDUCT

 

  • All delegates must respect the LUMS Community, YLES Host Team & fellow delegates attending the event.
  • Any unethical behavior or criminal activity shall not be tolerated by the YLES Host Team and will be reported to relevant authorities immediately.
  • All delegates are responsible for their own actions and behavior and YLES Host Team does not take responsibility for any misconduct on participant’s part.
